Two PhD candidates got the awards established by CAS
Changping Huang and Tong Shuai won the honorable mention of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and ZhuLiYuehua outstanding doctoral student award, respectively. They attended the awards ceremony held in the university of Chinese academy of sciences, Yuquan campus.
Changping Huang has done a lot of research work in the field of remote sensing calibration, evaluated and calibrated the Field Imaging Spectrometer System(FISS), the first set of spectrometer in China. He proposed a radiation calibration model based on variable system imaging parameters which effectively solved the radiation calibration difficulties of FISS and other similar sensors. His method is expected to be applied to the radiation calibration of intelligent remote sensing satellite in the future.
Tong Shuai has conducted a series of processing and quality evaluation studies of the lunar hyperspectral data acquired by ChangE-1 interference imaging spectrometer and considered the actual lunar space weathering conditions to the abundance inversion of typical minerals on the lunar surface. He is the first one to get the lunar typical mineral map used the lunar surface hyperspectral data acquired by Chinese indigenous spectrometer. He provides a new method of inversion to the lunar surface mineral mapping.
